How is JACC accountable?
Our fundraising staff hold current memberships with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), working to ensure donations received are used wisely. We adhere to AFP’s code of ethics…”you give to charity, we give you accountability”. We have also adopted Imagine Canada’s Ethical Code. How will my donation be used?
Unless otherwise specified, funds will be used to assist seriously ill children within our Crisis, Care, and Wellness Programs.
When will I get my tax receipt?
When you donate online, you will receive a tax receipt emailed to you immediately. If you choose to mail your donation to us, we will issue a tax receipt to you within a week of receiving your donation. If you have not received a tax receipt within this allotted time or you would like a duplicate receipt, please contact Maggie Twidale at 905-852-1799 ext 32 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’ve made a single gift donation in the past but would like to contribute on a monthly basis. How do I do that?

Do you offer text to donate?

Do you sell or rent your mailing lists?
We respect your privacy and value your relationship with us in the utmost manner! Your information is safe with us and we will not sell or rent your information to anyone. You can find out more about our Privacy Statement here.
What type of government or United Way funding does JACC receive?
We rely solely on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations, and the funds raised through our signature and community events. We do not receive any assistance from the government or the United Way.
I would like to list the Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity in my will. What are my next steps?
Thank you for thinking of us in this capacity. We recognize and appreciate the time and consideration one puts into planning their estate and will. It is an honour to be included in this special area of your estate planning.
A gift in your will can be a designated sum of money, or a percentage of your estate. Other types of gifts include such things as life insurance, securities, gift annuities, or property.

I have items I would like to donate. How can I do this?
First, thank you for thinking of JACC! We are always grateful to receive new, unwrapped items that we can use as gifts for our JACC kids at the Country BBQ or, if appropriate, as an auction item at one of our other events. Please contact Amy Stevenson at 905-852-1799 ext 25 to arrange drop off or delivery.
I am celebrating an event and would like my guests to make a donation to JACC instead of bringing gifts. How can I do that?
Thank you for sharing your special occasion with us! We now have a convenient way for you to create a special donation page for your event online complete with a website link you can send out to all your guests. They will be able to donate at a level they are comfortable with and will receive a tax receipt emailed right away.
