The Jane Sleep Bursary

In 2021, the Jane Sleep Bursary was established to recognize the contributions of Jane Sleep, the very first Executive Director of Jennifer Ashleigh Children’s Charity. Jane remained at the helm of the charity for more than 30 years. She believes that all children should be given every opportunity to reach their full potential.

JACC would not be where it is today without Jane’s unparalleled leadership and dedication to the children and families we serve.

Eligibility

Applicant must have received financial assistance from JACC;
Applicant must be pursuing post-secondary education/training/certification leading to employment or independent living;
Applicant must submit an application to bevans@jenash.org. A complete application includes:
proof of enrolment OR proof of completion within the last year (for a program that is less than one year in duration)
an Application form (posted on May 1st)

Timeline

Applications open May 1st and close July 15th

Bursary Amount: One Bursary of $2,000 OR two Bursaries of $1,000 (This decision is at the discretion of the Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity Advisory Council)
A successful applicant can only receive the bursary once
If not selected, applicants may re-apply in subsequent years
Successful applicants will be notified by August 15th
